The Blessing of the Bambinelli is a tradition instituted by St. John Paul II in Rome. Every year on the Third Sunday of Advent, the Holy Father invites children to bring the Baby Jesus (Bambinelli) from their family Nativity scene to the church for a blessing. This Advent tradition is a way for children to connect their Nativity scene at home to the celebration of Christmas at their church.
Don't forget to bring your Bambinelli(s) from home!
